Wine Gift Tags

I love these Wine Gift Tags. They really help to dress up any bottle of wine, champagne, sparkling cider, sports drinks or even bottles of water. As long as the neck of the bottle fits through the 1 1/2"  hole of the tag it will work.

I made the base of the tag with kraft cardstock and the leaves are kraft cardstock also. I inked the leaves with Vintage Photo distress ink then spritzed them with Perfect Pearls so they shimmer.

For the sentiment I stamped it in Concord Distress ink on kraft cardstock and trimmed the one end to look like a banner then inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. I adhered the sentiment banner with pop up dots and added a button tied with white floss.

Here you can see the shimmer of the Perfect Pearls.

And here too you can see how the Perfect Pearls gleams in the light.

I backed the kraft tag with purple cardstock and added a punched scalloped border at the bottom.

I will have these Wine Tags in our Etsy shop, Jenneresa soon. I have a variety of other sentiments and if you are looking for a different sentiment just let me know what you would like.

I am thinking on making some with snowflakes for winter and Christmas. With all the parties going on during the holidays it would be nice to have some of these tags on hand.

New Item in My Etsy Shop

Finally have a new item in our Etsy shop! You can go here http://www.etsy.com/listing/75128351/a-designers-eye-for-scrapbooking-with to check it out.

This is a book from Ali Edwards, a well known scrapbooker on how to use and design with pattern paper on your scrapbook pages.
Ali shares her design principles along with how to chose the perfect pattern paper for your pages, how to mix and match pattern paper as well as how to create stunning pages with scraps from your stash.
There are six chapters, each chapter covers a certain pattern (circles, stripes, florals etc.).
At the end of each chapter there is a bullet type summary that highlights what is taught in that chapter.

Ali and four other well known scrapbookers have shared their layouts in the book that demonstrates what is talked about in each chapter.

In the back of the book eight pages of pattern paper is included for you to use on your scrapbook pages.

I highly recommend this book. Before I read the book I rarely used my pattern paper as I was afraid I would lose my photos in all the pattern paper. Now I use my beautiful pattern paper all the time and my photos are still the star of my scrapbook pages.

Vintage Paper Flowers

Added another item to my Etsy shop today! A set of seven vintage paper flowers:
They look so pretty all nestled together. They are made from pages of a vintage dictionary and measure 2". I used two different flower punches and punched six layers from each punch for a total of 12 layers for each flower. I then inked each layer of the vintage paper with distress inks.
Here is a close up of the flower inked with Spiced Marmalade:
Here is a close up of the flower inked with Walnut Stain:

And here is a close up of the flower inked with Broken China:
I used pearls or gems for the centers of the flowers.
I also used Peeled Paint, Fired Brick, Tumbled Glass, and Scattered Straw distress inks. I loved how the flowers turned out and it was fun matching up gems and pearls for the centers. In fact I have a few more colors of distress inks that I could make another set of flowers. It was fun to see how each color turned the vintage paper into a pretty flower.
If your are interested in this set of vintage flowers you can visit my etsy shop at:

My favorite is the Broken China with the pearl center. What color flower is your favorite?

I hope to get more cards and other embellishments up in my shop soon. In fact the cards here are something I have been working on. I plan on making them a set of six, 3 designs, 2 of each and they will come with tags. I just need to get them done.
